What local CO2 emission savings can be achieved by operating an energy storage system in conjunction with PV? And why is that even important?
With the adopted #ESG reporting, companies, especially in the manufacturing industry, are increasingly being required to set up environmental and energy management systems and report regularly. The CO2 emissions caused and measures to reduce them play a central role here.
High emissions in the absence of reduction measures can lead to considerably more negative conditions for the company.
The rough rule of thumb: local CO2 savings through energy storage = avoided grid consumption * 434 g per kWh (emission coefficient for 2022).
Companies with a suitably large PV system from 500 kWp and an annual consumption in the GWh range can achieve additional, local and annual CO2 savings in the three-digit ton range with the #Hypnetic-Storage. 🌱
